  • Probably before your time. Stonewall Inn back in 1969. I went to school in Greenwich Village and it was well known that when the police had to make good on their monthly arrest quota, they would hit the gay bars.

  • I first heard Walter Cronkite on the radio - WCBS in New York. In addition to the regular news on WCBS, Cronkite appeared from time to time on a radio program entitled You Are There which dramatized important historical events as they might have been reported.
